Choosing House Plants:
- Always buy plants from reputed garden centres, nurseries or shops.
- Don’t buy plants displayed outside shops.
- Don’t buy plants that show signs of pests and diseases.
- Don’t buy plants that have roots growing out of the base of the pot. Shows that plant has been kept in pot for too long and growth has been retarded.
- Don’t buy plants with green mold on surface of compost or slime on outside of pot.
- Don’t buy plants with wilting, fallen or damaged leaves.
- Avoid plants with mass of stems and foliage but which are only in small pots.
